PROJECTS WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED
Mozart Academy has implemented many projects with the aim of removing polyphonic music and stage works such as opera, ballet and musicals from being difficult and inaccessible arts in our country, to gain the love and curiosity of many people, especially children, to these fields, to increase the demand of our society for these arts and to present these arts for the benefit of all segments of society.
HARRY POTTER OPERA
A first in the world... .
The World Premiere of the HARRY POTTER Children's Opera, staged with permission from the Mozart Academy, was held on May 16, 2015 at the Sabancı Culture Center in Izmir. This important organization, as the first private opera of our country, received extensive coverage in the national and international press, received a congratulatory and invitation phone call from the British Ambassador to Ankara, Richard Moore, and received complimentary articles from many art writers. This art event successfully announced the name of Izmir in the British, German, French and Italian press.
IZMIR POLYPHONIC CHOIR FEST
First and Only in Izmir
The Izmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival, which aims to ensure that the polyphonic choir music genre, which is an inseparable part of universal music culture in contemporary societies, is further developed and spread in our country and thus to develop the universal and national music culture and taste of our nation, is organized every year in the 2nd week of June at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. The increasing interest of choirs from all over the country in our 3rd fetival this year strengthens our festival every year, and our festival, which 70 choirs participated in this year, is rapidly progressing towards becoming a successful and traditional festival.
CARMİNA BURANA PROJECT
A First in the World...
With the project; one of the first pieces that comes to mind when it comes to classical music in the world and in our country, CARMİNA BURANA, was performed for the first time in the world by a choir consisting entirely of children and young people. Exactly 200 children and young people took part in the project and performed a fascinating concert accompanied by a symphonic orchestra of 55 people. The concert was held on April 23, 2014 at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center for the benefit of TÜRGÖK (Turkish Foundation for the Visually Impaired) and was filmed by TRT Television.
INTERNATIONAL PIANO FEST
First and Only in Izmir
The Mozart Academy International Piano Festival and Competition, which has been growing every year since 2012, plans to break new ground this year by bringing together a larger audience and participants and masters from different countries. The Piano Festival aims to enable contemporary artist candidates to interact with each other and share their artistic experiences with their peers, to increase the interest and love of young people in classical music, to provide young people with the opportunity to learn different piano techniques and to provide them with experiences that will allow them to represent themselves and our country on similar national and international music platforms. It will provide over 150 young people between the ages of 5 and 20 with the opportunity to perform.
DAS MOZART ORITORIUM
A First in the World...
With this project, we aim to present the life of Wolfgan Amadeus MOZART, the most important musician in the world, to the taste of all art lovers, young and old, with a fantastic narration, and thus to make children, especially children, love and develop polyphonic music. In addition, while telling the life story of Mozart, which has dramatic and interesting elements, we aim to reveal the aspects that children may like, and to help them get closer to polyphonic classical music.
